ABC News posted a video regarding all the uproar within the world of electronic dance music through the eyes of one reporter at none other than: TomorrowWorld. The video touched on everything from the talent, drive and money that comes along with DJing, to the overall influence that the genre has had on various pop and mainstream artists, which we hear on the radio today.
The video begins with popular names like Afrojack, Calvin Harris, and Tiesto lighting up the stages of the festival known as, TomorrowWorld, which occurred about a week ago in Atlanta, Georgia. ABC reporter, Gio Benitez, enters in on all the madness and is immediately greeted by all the positiveness and giddy faces that we as ravers are all familiar with. Benitez goes on to converse with Tiesto, David Guetta and even Armin Van Buuren about the fortune and fame that comes along with DJing.
The three mainly agree on one topic: It’s all about the energy and moment of being together to experience the music we’ve all grown to love. ABC News obviously discussed the previous tragedy which occurred at this years Electric Zoo but it only goes to show that with high-demand and popular events, negative things tend to happen.
“Look at other festivals stuff happens there too. You don’t need drugs to enjoy the music. You can Just have a great time with your friends going to a festival…” – Armin Van Burren
On another note, ABC reporters were quick to mention that TomorrowWorld totaled only 20 hospital visits out of 140,000 attendees for the entire three days. Overall, ABC’s coverage of TomorrowWorld reminded us all how electronic bass and funky beats we love are here to stay. Watch below!
