Jan/14/13 – The A State Of Trance 600 tour is approaching rapidly, a majority of the lineups have been released, all of the dates have been announced, and we’ve been keeping our articles up to date with information about the tour and the radio show – even more so – over the last few weeks (here). I’m very excited, as I know all of you reader are, last week we listened to ASOT 595 and this week we’ll hear 596. Hopefully soon we’ll learn more about the talent that will be present in New York, Mexico, Guatemala, and Miami.

ASOT 595 provided us with a glimpse at the highly anticipated A State Of Trance 600 Anthem entitled ‘The Expedition’. The track was created by trance legend and ASOT head, Armin van Buuren with some help from America’s #1 DJ, Markus Schulz. ‘The Expedition’ offers the perfect balance of Armin and Markus’ sound, the euphoric opening sets the stage and tells us exactly what the tour is about. The steady progression of sound is warm and inviting, the build up is steady, and the drop is trancey. I would even go as far as to say that this record is timeless.
