The five-piece group Exmag released their second single off their upcoming ‘Proportions’ release, with this one entitled “Creep Steady”. Keeping with Exmag’s downtempo, low-fi chillout style, “Creep Steady” uses some funky high-frequency synths over low bass and a slow, crisp hip-hop beat for another track which epitomizes what surely should be called “rhythm and blues-tronica”. This is song is perfect for kicking back and letting it all hang out. With some extra grooviness added in the track by the suave axe-playing of Gramatik’s guitarist and Exmag member Eric Mendelson, “Creep Steady” contains all the right elements of funk, soul, blues, rnb and electronica.
