The vibe captures a pure energy of sorts that’s hard to beat, featuring a spectrum of sonic creativity from echo-induced vocals to rudimentary trance synths that trigger a sense of nostalgia. “Friendly Fires,” is packed full of ecstatic energy that reaches it’s peak mid-way, transitioning to a drop that that pulls together all the preceding moments into a firestorm of sensation and epicenes.
Featuring vocalist Dani Poppitt, who’s worked on a plethora of big artists lately from Kaskade to Illenium, Gareth Emery has stitched together something pure at heart and certainly incorporates traits that feel close to his roots.
