“Anthem,” an uplifting single from Greece-artist Mel Ody, isn’t shy about showing it’s colors right off the bat. The single features parading future bass drops that totally immerses the listener in a melodic fluster of sound. The result is tantalizing. Mel Ody knows how to put a strong production together regardless if vocals are involved. Perhaps this is why his streaming numbers are on the rise and has been direct support from notable A-listers. “Anthem” is a home-run for Mel Ody who can’t seems to keep out of the studio.
Anthem” is the kind of song that I felt that was missing from my DJ sets. Creating “Anthem”, I wanted to take inspiration from my roots of mostly rock music, but also blend it with a more festive, future bass sound. “Anthem” is song about solidarity and togetherness, a feeling about believing in yourself and taking action. Summer season is just around the corner and I believe this is the best moment for me to show it to the world.
