Movement Detroit Music Festival revealed the second phase of its lineup with an unexpected name drop. The biggest heavyweights in techno are to be joined by a DJ you might not even realize you’re all too familiar with— Testpilot, deadmua5’s techno alias. What does this mean? It means you can expect to see Joel Zimmerman headlining the main stage on Sunday night, playing a much darker catalog than you’ve ever experienced before.
Also headlining the main stage this weekend will be the festival’s Godfather Richie Hawtin on Saturday and Carl Cox on Monday. The second phase also sees Seth Troxler, Octave One, Paco Psuna, Heidi, Twin Cousins, and Ben Sims B2B with Truncate joining the already stacked lineup that brought us Barclay Crenshaw, Pan-Pot, Shiba San, Nicole Moudaber, Adam Beyer, and many more.
Movement Detroit Music Festival takes place Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-29 in Detroit’s Hart Plaza. With this announcement, we can’t imagine tickets will be lingering much longer— purchase them now here.
