Sacha Robotti is nearing the end of his SlothAcid Tour but that doesn’t stop him from dropping new music like his new doubleheader EP, Believe in Me. Sacha, a recent Belgium turned L.A. based artist, has been keeping himself busy since the big move with a slew of music releases like his Melato Nina EP released on Dirtybird Records, his transcendental remixes of “Crash Land” and “Deemsta” on Insomniac, and his collab with Mikey Lion EP, Ol’ Dirty Hearts, on Desert Heart Records. On top of all of the production, the house/techno producer has been making all the stops at the top electronic music festivals in the U.S. like CRSSD, Coachella, EDC, Dirtybird Campout, Nocturnal Wonderland and Burning Man.
Sacha Robotti’s new EP takes on a different identity when thinking about house music. The first track, “Believe in Me” takes on a darker tech house vibe, with ominous vocals that haunt above the floor shaking bass. The buildup is slow and simple, having us on the edge waiting for the rest of the elements to creep onto each other. “Solstice” takes on a more off-kilter approach, with enticing rise and falls of tones with wonky synths that echo off each other in their rhythms. It’s a bit different for a house track but it will definitely attract those that are looking for something out of the box.
