Summer is ending, but the chill vibes are not. So many up-and-comers with huge potential came our way this week and we had to share. Without putting any single release on a pedestal, enjoy recent, chill releases that sparked our interest. From deep house to future bass and beyond. If it’s chill, if we liked it, it’s here.
Lqd Hrmny & Krue – Unexpected (Original Mix)
“Lqd Hrmny” and “Krue” have officially let out his first label release of the year “Unexpected”. Released on none other than AIA, “Unexpected” plays are not only about to soar, but “Unexpected” is one of the chillest track on this list – showcasing super-soft future bass, a gentle indie vocal, and percussion arpeggios sprinkled in all the right places.
kwon – Forever
kwon takes the future vibe in an experimental, darker, and tripper direction. Converting the upbeat, tough feel of Drake’s “Forever” and sampling it to becoming something 2016 electronic music lovers can easily jive with. kwon has a great combination I favor: lots of plays, few followers. This new underdog is about to carve out a chunk of the scene that will be all his own.
Bridgit Mendler – Atlantis feat. Kaiydo
Things have been moving quickly when it comes to Orlando’s Kaiydo. To catch you up to speed Kaiydo has release a small amount of tracks and has hit #1 on HypeM overall. I mean just listen to the dude. His voice is pure ear-candy, his verses are so on point. Pair this with the heart melthing, ultra soothing vocals of Bridgit Mendler and you got a killer setup.
WNWD – Set Me Free
“Set Me Free” kicks off with some deep lyrics right off the bat “Let my guard down, don’t know why / justified by my own mind / don’t know where I end up this time / don’t know what I’ll find when I open my eyes.” The instrumental here is completely original, taking a mid-tempo platform and adding chill solid basslines and synths atop. Romy – Wild Heart (Cliftonia Remix)
The heat is still here even though it’s September, Cliftonia has a house track that still has those warm summer vibes. The grooves are there and vocals pull the entire experience together. Word on the street is Cliftonia is release a full EP sometime in the next few months. If you like what you hear then don’t miss what’s coming next.
HOUNDED – Feel so Right Ft. Bamiyah
That deep house bassline tho.”Feel so Right Ft. Bamiyah” is the best name for this track, listen and you’ll see why. Sometimes when you click play, the track instantly takes you over and consumes you in the emotion the track is conveying. This is one of those songs. The key of the song and the melody pattern is eaten like candy by the brain. This is not the first time HOUNDED and Bamiyah have worked together, if you like this, check out their previous collab here.
Sebastian Carter – Unlock (feat. Atonal)
Delay and echo effects are some of my favorite patterns, Sebastian Carter latest release taps into this sound with a spiritual-esque drop filled with a cluster of sounds which forms a beautiful engine that runs through your heart. This single is from his upcoming EP City Lights out September 23rd. If you like Mute Math, Burial, or Rezz, you’ll most like dig this.
