From the depths of the Internet, notably Soundcloud and YouTube, we’ve scoured to bring you some of the best remixes of Diplo’s “Revolution” that you might’ve missed. In January, Mad Decent released a remix package of Diplo’s “Revolution,” but below we have 10 more remixes of the track from bedroom producers to established DJs stretching across several continents. Strap on your helmets (or rather your headphones) and get ready to storm the dancefloors.
1. Diplo – Revolution ft. Faustix & Imanos and Kai (Thrillers Remix)
An electro house remix brought to you by Thriller from Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Records. Moving from slow and sultry to a big room drop, this remix is keeps the vocals tantalizing while adding signature electro house elements.
2. Diplo – Revolution ft. Faustix & Imanos and Kai (Encore Remix)
Encore, a DJ from Russia, takes on “Revolution” and turns it into a heavy drum and bass track. Starting with a build up that will draw you in and pump you up until the bass absolutely slaps you in the face, this track is definitely worth listening to and perhaps listening to again.
3. Diplo – Revolution ft. Faustix & Imanos and Kai (FWB Twerk Sum’n Remix)
DJ FWB releases a remix pulling from hip-hop and rap tracks, keeping it trappy and twerky in a different direction than the original.
4. Diplo – Revolution ft. Faustix & Imanos and Kai (Notixx X GRIMEace Remix)
This remix from GRIMEace and Notixx is fire. Electronic hard-hitting trap, with fun, heavy drops and with their playing of breaks, GRIMface and Notixx make this perhaps my favorite remix on the list.
5. Diplo – Revolution ft. Faustix & Imanos and Kai [Boaz Van De Beats Remix]
Boaz van de Beats, the Dutch trap artist, who was featured on Diplo’s Crown brings another trap remix of “Revolution” with some Dutch flair. Released by Mad Decent but not on the “Revolution (Remixes) EP”, you may have missed this gem. Using more repetitive synths and upping the pitch, this song is fun and definitely will make you want to check out van de Beatz Soundcloud
6. Diplo – Revolution ft. Faustix & Imanos and Kai (Count Ninjula Remix)
Moving away from trap, Count Ninjula remixes “Revolution” with some dub elements after stripping down the opening and vocals for over the first minute and a half. The vocals sound haunting and beautiful alone, and as the drum and bass and distortion begins, this track is fully turnt into a dub step track before you know it.
7. Diplo – Revolution ft. Faustix & Imanos and Kai (Laura Burke Cover)
Not exactly a remix but instead a soulful cover, Laura Burke makes this song her own and it is beautiful, soulful, and totally not electronic. Definitely worth checking out, she brings some fresh vocals to an incredible track for a completely new feel.
8. Diplo – Revolution ft. Faustix & Imanos and Kai [Dirty South Joe & Flufftronix Remix]
Dirty South Joe and Flufftronix remixed the track making it almost sound like a movie score, tweaking the vocals to almost robotic tones at times, and adding some signature dub sounds with breaks that go onto highlight some awesome drum kicks. The only way to describe this song is epic.
9. Diplo – Revolution ft. Faustix & Imanos and Kai (Drunken Masters Remix)
Drunken Masters, two German DJs, keep this song trappy but gritty and add some electric elements to it. Like several other tracks on this list, it’s caught the ears of Diplo and Mad Decent.
10. Diplo – Revolution ft. Faustix & Imanos and Kai (Consenza retwerk)
This remix by Consenza got some attention from other sites and trap fans alike. He keeps it trappy and tweaky, and his other “retwerks” of Diplo and R.L. Grime are also hot.
