A couple months ago, Splash House & Goldenvoice announced a brand new two-day music festival in Palm Springs called Desert Air. And now we only have a couple more weeks left until this festival kicks off!
To get us all pumped, we wanted to share with you the 4 reasons why we’re excited for Desert Air, which takes place from December 10-11:
- The hosts of the festival
Although this is a brand new music festival, we know that everything will run smoothly because Splash House, who are known for their yearly multi-venue pool parties is collaborating with Goldenvoice, who are the creators of Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. Splash House has been bringing cutting edge electronic music to Palm Springs ever since it’s inception in 2013 and Goldenvoice has been hosting the biggest music festival since it’s inception in 1999. We’re confident that the planning, stage set-up, and logistics will all be up to par knowing that the festival is in good hands with these two companies.
2. Have you seen the lineup???
Desert Air features a stacked line-up of globally recognized and critically acclaimed DJs, ranging from Innervisions’ icon Dixon, the magnanimous and playful German producer DJ Koze, the Bronx’s prodigal house sons The Martinez Brothers, South Korea’s music-fashion globetrotter Peggy Gou and enigmatic Detroit tastemaker Moodymann.
Apart from those massive headliners, Desert Air’s line-up continues with a very impressive list of the underground’s next sound, such as Compton’s Channel Tres who will be bringing his Detroit-house inspired vocals and live show, Canadian deep house DJ/producer Patrick Holland, German producer and singer Perel, London’s very own TSHA, cutting-edge Manchester trio Mason Collective, Canadian house music producer and DJ Jayda G, the shapeshifting Chris Stussy, and global DJ and multi instrumentalist Chloé Caillet.

3. How many of you can say you’ve partied in an air museum before?
I know I can’t. This is a one of a kind venue. Partying in the desert is already fun but imagine how crazy it’ll get at an air museum.
The festival will take place at one of North America’s most unique open-air venues. The Palm Springs Air Museum will host music lovers aside it’s industrial hangars and historic aircrafts backdropped by the iconic San Jacinto Mountains and beautiful desert landscape. The festival will seek to create a new legacy for electronic music in the Mojave.
Attendees will also have the convenience of resort-style accommodations and a site situated just minutes from the heart of Palm Springs. The festival is partnering with nearby hotels like the beautiful Saguaro and the elegant Renaissance.
4. Daytime Affairs
