As Above & Beyond prepare for a very special moment out in Washington State this weekend, they’ve gifted fans a little something right before showtime – their newly released single “My Own Hymn” featuring Zoë Johnston. Out now on Anjunabeats, the track saw its premiere at Electric Zoo Festival over Labor Day Weekend, sending electrifying sparks through a crowd of thousands of bright-eyed faces. It’s clear that all of the exquisite elements used to create a classic Above & Beyond original have been put forth to craft yet another impeccable single fans will fall in the love. The ever-so-talented and familiar vocals of Zoë Johnston ignite the entrancing melody that makes up “My Own Hymn,” one that is sure to send your soul on a deep and emotional journey as you listen and succumb to its euphoric sound.
The release of “My Own Hymn” comes right before Above & Beyond celebrate the 250th episode of their highly praised radio show “Group Therapy” in front of 25,000 fans at The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington. Taking place on September 16 & 17th, ABGT250 will surely be a weekend to remember, featuring performances on Saturday by Above & Beyond, Genix & Sunny Lax, Luttrell, Oliver Smith, Seven Lions & Jason Ross, and Yotto. Sunday’s performances offer a deeper thrill as Anjunadeep takes the reigns, featuring 16 Bit Lolitas, Eli & Fur, Jody Wisternoff & James Grant, Moon Boots, Yotto & Luttrell. As an added bonus, fans camping at The Gorge on Friday, September 15 will also be treated to a preview screening of a film of Above & Beyond’s recent acoustic performance at The Hollywood Bowl, taking place at The Gorge Meadow at 8pm.
