As Electric Zoo wrapped up this weekend, we saw some of the most premiere electronic artists perform at NYC’s longest running electronic festival. Four stages spread across Randall’s island to bring three days of great music and even more fun. On each day, a different record label would host certain stages. On Friday, we saw Above & Beyond’s Anjunadeep label host the Sunday School stage. A chilled, deep house sound would coast throughout the magical tent and bring listeners into a relaxed paradise. Anjunadeep would see artists like Cubi Color, Moon Boots, Yotto, Way Out West, Lane 8, and AME.
After the Anjunadeep artists brought the funk to Sunday school, several of them headed on over to Output in Brooklyn to keep the party going. We’d see performances from Yotto, Moon Boots, Lauren Ritter, and AME. Output proved to be the perfect venue to host Anjunadeep’s after party. An intimate club equipped with three floors to host some of the funkiest, deepest beats from Electric Zoo. Moon Boots and Yotto would take the stage before AME performed an extended set from around 2:00 AM – 6:00 AM.
Anjunadeep and Anjunabeats fans came out in hoards to witness some of the deepest and funkiest performances at one of the best clubs in NYC. Being my first time at Output, I was blown away by not only the size of the club, but the vibes given off by attendees. Shuffling and epic dance moves would take over the main floor of Output for nearly 8 hours. As closing times rolled around, fans were wiped out from a long day at Electric Zoo as well as Output. The official after party for day one would end and the preparation for day two began.
