Yes Swedish House Mafia broke up, but from the looks of it Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso are not done working together – even though they split up to focus on solo careers? On April 12th the official Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel Facebook announced that the rumors – I wasn’t aware that there were any – are true about the pairing forming a side project, titled ‘Departures’. They then went on to share that Ax & Seb will be spinning, starting June 12th, every wednesday night.
While I suppose this is a treat for Ibiza club goers, considering many massive acts have agreed to residences in New York, Las Vegas, etc. I’m excited to see how fans will react to the news. It will be interesting to see what kind of records they produce and how far they take the project- will this only a summer undertaking?
Who knows? Anyone else think it’s a little weird that Ax & Seb were the first two TomorrowWorld artists announced?
With friends like Skrillex & Boys Noise, Markus Schulz & Ferry Corsten, and now Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso pairing off for fun, I wonder who’s going to be next.
