BangOn!NYC has revealed the expansion of its annual Elements Music & Arts Festival into a 3-day camping festival, Elements Lakewood. Taking place in the mountains of northeast Pennsylvania over Memorial Day Weekend, May 26-28, its Phase 1 lineup does not disappoint with headliners including Claude Von Stroke, Claptone, Keys N Krates, and Lee Burridge.
As 2017 marks the 10 year anniversary of BangOn!NYC, this announcement might come as no surprise to those who have been in attendance at any of their past events, especially their biggest banger, Elements Music & Arts Festival. Over the past few years, this one-day Summer festival in Brooklyn has caused quite the commotion. Its industrial location on the abandoned waterfront of Red Hook sets the scene annually for its unique environment, illuminated by interactive art installations, death-defying acts from aerialists and fire breathers, and performances by headliners only those in-the-know could truly appreciate. The festival has not only seen wild success over the years, but has received high praise from NYC festival goers and others alike. Therefore, it only seems natural that the time has come for it to extend its success into an overnight weekend rager.
We’ve seen great DJ’s come through in the past like Nora En Pure, Amtrak, Liquid Stranger, Klingande, Gramatik, Justin Jay, and more. We’re confident that this year will be no different, if not better. Billboard disclosed a few things we can expect to see at the first edition of Elements Lakewood Camping Music & Arts Festival: a wide array of genres sprawled out amongst four themed outdoor stages, sunset to sunrise performances, heated pools, untraditional camping activities, and all of the quirky, eccentric flairs we’ve come to know and love about Elements.
Does this mean that the end has come for its NYC installment? BangOn!NYC has yet to reveal the answer. Until then, we’ll be gearing up with high expectations for the east coast’s newest campsite spectacular. Here’s to hoping they bang out a big one!
