As soon as “Dreams” finished it’s final seconds, one thought popped in my mind: can’t wait to hear Part 2!
The Canadian-bass duo Bass Farmers have gradually been garnering more attention as months pass, their latest EP Cultivation Pt. 1, released via Nex Gen Records, is a production milestone that showcases the talents and skills of Brett Berger and Matthew Kegler.
Featuring Lara Woolf, who’s been credited on several Monstercat tracks, as well as many other collaborations, dished out her vocals for the Bass Farmer production “Feed The Fire,” which balances an excellent amount of melody and bass. Next “Ruff Rude Boys” focuses on those classic reggae-dub vibes that initially got dubstep popular in the states, an all-around bass-fan crowd-pleaser. Finally BF finishes with an experimental single “Dreams,” which shows off a side of Bass Farmers never quite seen before.
Whether you’re pumping your first to the power of “Feed The Fire” or you’re in deep thought thanks to “Dreams,” Cultivation Pt. 1 is a must have for any fan of heavy electronic.
