After capping off his summer festival season at The Meadows in NYC, The King Of The Sound (and sneaky surprise announcements) set the internet on fire with the posting of the Meadows family photo which is said to contain a hint of this year’s New Year’s location. The family-photo is part of the fundamental recipe of a Bassnectar show, and bassheads have been know to plan for weeks in advance about where their squad should stand to be visible and what props to bring to stand out in a sea of similarly dressed partiers.
Experiencing Bassnectar’s New Years Eve show is an equally fundamental aspect of life following Lorin – drawing tens of thousands of fans to Birmingham, Alabama (2015, 2016) and Nashville, Tennessee (2013, 2014) for a night of celebrating the new year in a stadium-style venue complete with a rotating 360 degree stage.
This year, we have a feeling we’ll be seeing you all down South again. Zoom in to the front left of The Meadows family photo and see if you can spot the sweetest of fruits; a ripe Georgia peach. We’ll have to wait until this afternoon for the official announcement but for now we’re thinking – Atlanta, anyone?
