For over 10 years, Bicycle Day has been an iconic event that bestowed the Bay Area and brought about good times, memories, and so much more. The event embraces art and music all in one go, with the name comes from a special day in history regarding Albert Hofmann.
Albert Hofmann, known as the ‘Good Doctor,’ invented LSD and on the day he tried out the substance on himself, he rode home via his bicycle and things would never be the same again from the world thereafter, based upon the effects of what he took.
Josh Pollack of Bicycle Day, had this to share about the event.
Now expanding into the daytime, so much is in store for this event. “Psychedelic Revolution: The Secret History of the LSD Trade” will be previewed to those who attend. A panel will be present, showcasing those in the field of activism, research, the arts, and decriminalization. Speakers you can look forward to are Hamilton Morris, Leonard Pickard, Isaac Abrams, Rhoney Stanley, Timothy Tyler, Seth Ferranti, Mark McCloud, Mountain Girl, Ryan Jay Beauregard, and Madison Margolin.
And of course, the event wouldn’t be complete without a sick, dynamic lineup that explores more of the heady side of music. Emancipator, Desert Dwellers, Axel Thesleff and Häana all will take the stage to get the crowd settled in right and get the vibes on point.
“We are so thrilled to bring back the revered and uniquely Bay Area annual celebration of Bicycle Day for the first time since 2019,” Josh Pollack of Bicycle Day mentions. “Similar to years past, the party will include all things psychedelia, however for the first time we are including a daytime programming of conferences and panel discussions with some legendary figures in the psychedelic community. This includes touching on topics such as decriminalization, therapeutics, research, arts and culture.”
