In an industry of mass saturation, it can sometimes be very hard to find good old house music. Not the generic pop-edm crossover that many big name producers are doing these days, but good progressive house music that reminds you of the music being released during 2011-2013. If there’s one artist who perfectly incorporates the nostalgic elements progressive house with the ever changing tastes of listeners, it’s Lost Kings. Composed of Robert Gainley and Nick Shanholtz, this LA based duo have been taking 2015 and 2016 by storm with their remixes and originals. The ability to produce whatever they want while also catering to the needs of the listeners is what puts Lost Kings in their own category compared to other producers.
Although the duo may have started out producing progressive house bangers, they have evolved their sound to the point where they are now capable of producing whatever speaks to them or just feels right. Their past five releases have all toppled well over a million plays on SoundCloud and their remix of Rihanna’s “Work” has accumulated over seven million plays. Lost Kings have been making their mark in the house and electronic scene with their innovative production skills and ability to adapt their sound to an even faster changing scene. Billboard Hot 100 Music Fesitval is set to take over Jones Beach on August 20 and 21st. Lost Kings’ performance will take place on the second day and it’s a guaranteed set that you won’t want to miss. They’ll be performing alongside other big name electronic artists that day like Marshmello, Calvin Harris, Audien, and Galantis.
We’ll post some of our favorite Lost Kings track below and we hope to see you at Jones Beach in just under a month. Tickets for BillBoard are still available and can be purchased here. There are both single and double day passes available, be sure to get on these before they sell out!
