Breakaway Festival is known for giving us multiple cities all simultaneously having great artists playing on the same weekend rocking the Midwest. But that presents a serious problem: which location do we choose!?
This August 23rd and 24th, Columbus, Ohio and Grand Rapids, Michigan will be going head to head competing for attendees with differing lineups of sub-genres. Although that’s great and may make the decision easier, for fans like us, we like it all, and we want it all!
For Ohio, on Friday we see a mix of hip hop with Future and Young Thug, mixed with some house flavor including AC Slater, Walker & Royce, and Matoma. Saturday turns up the EDM vibe with Wax Motif, PLS&TY, and Louis the Child, and then builds into an electronica/downtempo explosion with Chet Porter and finishing it off with the man that needs no intro, Bassnectar to blow out Mapfre Stadium in Columbus.
For Michigan, Friday will instantly blow you away with both Kaskade and Louise the Child headlining, along with Herobust and Wax Motif, for a full EDM day. Saturday, get your hip hop fix with Wiz Khalifa, and some funky with Big Gigantic.
With less than a month before showtime, you’ve got some decision making to do. End your summer right with a pre-Labor Day Weekend adventure in either Grand Rapids or Columbus.
Grab your tickets for either location here.
