Russia based pirate producer The Brig has been making waves through the electronic scene this year with a number of heavy- hitting releases, some of which have been played out across the globe this year amongst the likes of Dodge & Fuski, Astronaut and Fox Stevenson.
With his towering sound, dominating drums and clever arrangements, this impressive producer has a lot more in-store for next year. We had a chance to shoot some questions in to Russian producer The Brig who gave us inspiring answers back.
What initially turned you on to bass music?
I have come a long way before creating bass music. I originally
created the melodic dance music. When dubstep got popular, I liked
the sound, so I started to learn a new style. Now, I’m trying to
combine melodic and bass music. I think it’s the perfect combination
for crazy partying.
Who is your dream artist you’d like to work with?
I very much like Sia, she has a unique voice and approach to creating
vocals. Also I like the bass producer 501, he the master.
What kind of vibes did you want to convey in this mix?
In this mix I put together the most interesting and unique tracks in
the last month in my opinion. I also put into the mix a couple of
micro preview of my upcoming releases.
Where do you hide your treasures?
My treasures are in a very safe place. No one but me has access to
them. Maybe I ‘ll share with you, but I’ll have to think about it …
What’s the plan for 2015?
In 2015, I plan to release a lot of quality songs with vocalists. I will
host colorful pirate bass parties. Also in the new year, I promise to
my listeners a festive free track .
