Claude VonStroke has had a busy summer. Between coordinating a slew of DirtyBird BBQs in cities around the country, bouncing around the world to play festivals of all varieties as VonStroke and as hip-hop alias Barclay Crenshaw, releasing weekly “BirdHouse” mixes on MixCloud, and oh yeah – finding time to release original music.
VonStroke’s latest EP Works Well With Others demonstrates just that – the producer’s ability to collaborate with fellow DirtyBird player Will Clarke and man of mystery Sebastien V to produce an EP that is guaranteed to get bodies moving in the car and in the club.
Tracks include “Tiny Tambourine” and “Daylight Dark Room,” both of which take us on a journey in and around the world of tech house, with grooving bass line, bright synths, dark twists, and all of the classic DirtyBird weirdness.
