Adam Beyer’s imprints are taking the dance world by storm this summer with incredible releases from Ramon Tapia, Pig&Dan, Gregor Tresher, and Bart Skils to name a few, as well as an upcoming remix album with techno legend Kevin Saunderson. Keeping up with the string of massive releases comes the dreamy ‘Salt’ from the mysterious enigma known as Close Relative; a fresh experimental moniker and project from an established techno artist for Beyer’s Truesoul label.
‘Salt’ draws inspiration from nature and “open-minded festivals;” celebrating music, freedom, and the wonderment of existence through its rolling basslines, swelling synths, and powerful bursts of energy illuminating each track. The title tune ‘Salt’ is as haunting as it is hypnotic, followed by ‘Swell’ which carries the ongoing fever dream to even greater heights. Furthermore ‘Tide’ is a beautifully mesmerizing composition that makes the listener want to attend an industrial warehouse rave immediately, while ‘Eel’ feels like an eerie twilight of memories fading softly into the distance. It’s a diverse set of tracks that we highly recommend checking out HERE!
