Just a day or two ago we posted a possible Daft Punk record leak and although the tune sounded like it could’ve fit the label, we later found it to be yet another false hope. But this time I think we’ve hit the jackpot. Late last night/early this morning I came across the ‘Daft Punk Official’ SoundCloud page. Uploaded to the account just hours from that moment was: ‘Daft Punk – Columbia Records Commercial (2013)’.
I had seen the mysterious SNL commercial (watch below) – which aired a few nights ago – so after listening to the extended preview a few times through, I could easily confirmed it to be the exact anthem. Assuming that this SoundCloud is actually their official page – we all can rest assure, a confirmed Daft Punk album clip is among us.
Along with the clip came a picture of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo in the Columbia Records studio – which I’m still curious about (see above). Listen to the extended preview as many times as you like. Here is what the artist comment section on SoundCloud said:
