Daan Romers, more commonly known by his alias of DJ Dannic, has arisen as a distinctive, and noteworthy fixture in the dance music genre. Coincidentally, he was born in Breda, in the Netherlands – the same hometown of electronic music icons Tiesto, and Hardwell. Although he had gained popularity early on for his impressive mash-ups, Dannic’s career really took off after winning the remix contest for Funkerman’s track “Automatic”, and he was signed onto Hardwell’s own label, Revealed Recordings. Things escalated pretty fast for the Dutch producer, releasing a remarkable original track entitled “Doster” on Revealed Recordings, as well as a Beatport chart-topping collaborative track with Hardwell called “Kontiki”. He has also landed some high-profile remixes from Nicky Romero, Arty, and Chuckie (to name a few!).
Dannic’s recent track with Dutch duo Sick Individuals, entitled “Blueprint”, has also been dominating airwaves on Sirius XM’s Electric Area station. Each brought their own distinctive style to the track, and loaded with bright synth stabs and an invigorating, pulsing drop, this progressive-house tune is a prime demonstration of these artists’ talent, and proficiency at electronic music production. This track has been widely successful, skyrocketing to the #1 spot on Beatport’s Top 100 chart shortly after its release. Dannic has proved to be a very promising producer, and 2014 is undoubtedly going to be a big year for him!
