Dead Battery’s LP Recovery isn’t for the happy-go-lucky. In all, the album blends elements, of ambient, downtempo, and electronic, forming an slow-moving, elongated musical experience that isn’t like any I’ve heard in 2015.
Each track has it’s own original flavor to it, Recovery has huge variation in levels of energy, which also helps the listener feel the unique themes of each passing track.
My biggest surprise was just how varied the selection of songs on the EP is, yet Dead Battery still finds a way to connect the album together to be felt as a singular journey, without saturating any one type of sound.
If you’re a fan of commercial electronic, take a listen to Recovery as an alternative to your typical listening, it’ll be a decision you wont regret. If you listen to all types of music, you’ll still dig it.
