Back in 2014, we wrote about NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal debuting his DJ moniker in Las Vegas. Since then, he’s had an unbelievable DJ career playing massive festivals such as Tomorrowland 2015 and Lost Lands 2018. He even hosted his own carnival-themed house party during Miami Music Week, which featured big named DJ’s such as Diplo, Steve Aoki, and A-Trak. Shaq’s Fun House has already been booked to return back to Miami Music Week and also the Super Bowl in 2019. The hall of fame 4x NBA Champion who has won 3 consecutive NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers, will be performing in Los Angeles for the first time as a DJ, and we are excited to see the “Godzilla Gorilla of Dubstep” wreak havoc in the club!
O’Neal said, “Most people don’t know that music has always been a passion of mine, and that I have been DJ’ing for over 20 years. While my style has changed over the years, my sets have always been about FUN and making people dance. Los Angeles family, I have been training for this one and am ready to tear it up with you at Avalon!”
Performing a headlining set apart from DJ Diesel is none other than Los Angeles producer, music executive, and DJ, Destructo. Known for his infamous G-House sound, Destructo will deliver some hard hitting production that will keep the packed crowd dancing all night long. Destructo is known for his huge collaborations with big named rappers and the line-up also says “Special Guest” so you can definitely expect to see some big names at Avalon.
