Light and bubbly, Edwin’s “Summer High,” quickly articulates a certain crisp charm that makes it one to remember. Seemingly inspired by genres like chill house, moombahton, and pop, Edwin has cooked up something that is going to be relatable for all the right reasons to many across several facets of the dance music spectrum. Not trying to overdue with a highly technical design, Edwin keeps it simple and clean here, a refreshing aspect in itself. Edwin is two tracks deep under this alias, it becoming more apparent about his creative direction and overall vibe he’s putting out there.
This solo electronic artist has had an interesting ride through music business thus far, to say the least. He’s attended Icon Collective and Point Blank Music School, both prestigious institutions which have developed star-studded talents that continue to influence electronic culture. He’s opened for Steve Aoki, Hardwell, and Feed Me, written songs with names like Steve James, and has written for others like INOJ and CNCO.
“Summer High,” is the tip of the iceberg for Edwin, more certain to come from him, in good time, as he begins to get his feet more wet within this project.
