The magical and beloved festival Electric Forest has officially announced another year of back to back weekend festival dates for it’s 8th installment. Forest Fam will be welcomed back to the Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, Michigan June 21-24 and the following weekend, June 28-July 1. Not only have the official back to back weekend dates been announced yet again, they’ve announced a new fan participation initiative – The EF Wish Machine – encouraging the Forest Family to spread positivity, and offering the greatest evidence yet that Forest dreams really do come true. So many of us wish for change in the world today. When the Forest Family thinks globally, we find a place that needs kindness. Kindness, radical acceptance, and good deeds are why The Forest is special. These values create freedom to discover ourselves, celebrate our beautiful differences and our unique gifts. Goodness starts as a seed. Do you have an idea for a good deed or an inspiration for an act of human kindness?
Submit your Electric Forest dream into the Wish Machine, along with what you’re willing to do to have your dreams come true, and they may just come to fruition. You can also check the Wish Machine online to see the kind, outrageous, and inspirational wishes of all the fellow Forest Family.
This serves as yet another example of the magic that makes Electric Forest and its community what it is, and how it gives back to its beautiful festival goers. This isn’t the only example of EF giving back either. Electric Forest’s “Plug In” Program offers fans unprecedented participatory access. Each year the festival reviews submissions and grants for its Art Installation Sponsorships – up to $3,000.00 per winner – for builders and artists in the EF community to bring their ideas to life. For Plug In’s Brainery Workshop, the EF community can sign up and share their skills and knowledge with the Forest Community.
