Since their first rhythmic steps onto the scene with a 2017 performance at Groove Cruise and subsequent music releases in 2021, they’ve made waves with their icy cool aesthetics and dancefloor-friendly house beats. The mystique of an Antarctic lab headquarters and their distinctive stage features — from their glowing 3000 LED heads to a parade of playful penguins — have made their shows a spectacle in the truest sense.
Yet, while their stage presence boasts frost machines and lasers, it’s their musical evolution that keeps fans invested. Fresh off their tour in 2022, EPG’s deepened connection with their global fanbase led to a shift in their creative journey. This bond, transcending the bounds of pure music, fostered a desire to craft uplifting, retro-futuristic anthems in line with the communal spirit they experienced.
Enter their new EP, Where We Started. This triad of tracks marries vintage synths with contemporary digital flair, reflecting their newfound appreciation for both classic and modern house. The first taste, the EP’s title track, paved the way. Now, they present “Motion,” crafted during a reflective cabin retreat.
This sonic journey parallels their real-world commitments, as evidenced by their decision to direct 10% of 2023’s streaming revenue to the protection of Antarctic ecosystems via Only.one’s initiative.
