Elements Music & Arts Festival is shaping up to be one of the most exciting electronic music festivals in the nation. With a nature-oriented, spiritual aspect about it and boasting a rich lineup full of diversity, the experience is just not something to be missed.
Sofi Tukker, Seth Troxler, Kaskade, Shermanology, Rezz, Claude VonStroke are just a few of the names that will be appearing at this years Elements. With that said, tickets can be found here.
See our previous coverage of Elements Music & Arts Festival 2022 here as well, there’s much to learn about and plenty of experiences to revel in. Take your time to learn more and join in the festivities that’s only a few weeks away.
We sat down to chat with both of the founders of the music festival, Brett and Timothy, where we talking organization techniques, festival culture, and more.
Starting massive projects and undertakings is scary, for lack of a better term, how did you thrust yourself into making the first annual Elements Music & Arts Festival?
Event production is a rollercoaster indeed, but we love the ride! We started off small doing warehouse parties, and grew slowly but surely year over year- when we first started Elements it was a waterfront party in NYC, it seemed like the logical next step! When we became a camping festival that was the next great progression…it’s an honor to have a full 72 hours to create the most magical experiences possible for our family.
How do you keep all the steps organized and on time for the festival? Gantt charts? Asana? Something else?
Asana, google docs, google sheets, google, tens of thousands of emails, white boards, text messages, tin cans connected to a string, carrier pigeons.
Are there certain parts of the festival you enjoy more than others?
Once everything is up and running and you’re backstage looking at a sea of people enjoying the experience and artists it is truly overwhelmingly positive energy…the stress melts away!
What was your first festival?
Burning Man and Roskilde.
Why do you think many festivals fail in the first few years?
It looks fun and easy from the outside, but it’s insanely difficult to make all the logistics happen, especially over the last few years with pandemics, hurricanes, and a troubled economy. We’ve had some close calls over the years and a lot of luck and good fortune overcoming obstacles, but we have always managed to persevere- the show must go on!
What are you most excited about in regards to this year’s Elements Music & Arts Festival?
Our new venue is EVERYTHING we’ve dreamed of- car camping, a huge amount of infrastructure, and even more gorgeous woodlands! We’ve worked hard curating the lineup, it’s our biggest to date, and we think our family will be blown away by this year’s sounds.
