I’ll say it. Seems like everyone has been wanting to, but has been afraid to do it. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR TWO YEARS FOR A FULL LENGTH FEED ME ALBUM! And don’t get me wrong, I’m grateful. Grateful beyond belief. There are few electronic artists who can hook-line-and-sinker you from start to finish for an full length album, from his first in 2013’s with Calamari Tuesday, to his recently released second High Street Creeps, once again Jon Gooch, aka Spor, aka Seventh Stitch; or as he’s known on this album, Feed Me, has smashed it again.
For 10 tracks we are taken on a journey, crossing the boundaries of everything house and dance: the vocals are beautiful, the builds are uplifting, the synths are funky, and above all else, it’s creativity at its finest. Going from his classic signature liquid electro house “Barrel Roll” to the love exuding from Rosie Doonan’s vocals in “Feel Love” to the closing track “Defiant” which seemingly captures the best elements from every track and proclaims them for six minutes, it’s another journey from Feed Me that you don’t want to miss.
