As the Halloween weekend creeps closer, we can’t help but work on our costumes and best monster scare for Freaky Deaky. With a killer lineup to boot, including LSDREAM, Champagne Drip, Drezo, Lucii, Sullivan King and more, this is going to be an epic weekend that we have been dying to experience. One artist that we can’t wait to get our spooky vibes on with is INZO.
Mike Inzano is the rising producer behind the moniker, who’s music has been described as an eclectic amalgamation of different sounds, from future and space bass to melodic and cinematic inspired electronic, he is easily breaking through the ranks in the scene. The Chicago native started off in music early, with classical piano training and then drumming a couple years later in childhood, there was always a pull that guided him down the path he is on now. INZO really started to take off when he released his single, “Overthinker” which has now amassed over 45 million streams on Spotify and just recently was remixed by experimental melodic bass queen CloZee.
When it comes to what has been a baseline for how he creates his music, INZO had this to say,
“So, if we’re talking about the ‘atmosphere,’ of my music, I tend to think of the visual elements that tie in with that. Think of the natural aspects of life as a whole, you know, like earth wind and fire. I like to combine those earthy, green elements of life with the contrast of the vastness of space. Nature and space. I like to put the two together to really embody the perspective of life as a whole. Incorporating the color purple is also a big part of my vision”.

In 2019, INZO released his EP, Multiverse, a genre-fluid project that hit fans in all the right places. Whether you love dubstep, melodic bass or something more euphoric and emotional, this EP was able to really show what INZO is supposed to be all about. And don’t forget the inspirational inclusion of Alan Watt’s quotes, one of the most influential speakers on spirituality and social identity, that is the cherry on top of bringing that energy into his tracks. In 2020, his singles, “It Goes in Waves” with Blookah and Align and “I’m Dreaming” have easily garnered millions of streams with soaring synth chords, punching bass, and trippy rhythms that pull the flow and love out of you.
INZO quickly garnered recognition and support from fellow bass artists like Liquid Stranger, LSDREAM, ATLiens, TVBOO, CloZee, and more. Over the past three years, minus 2020, he found himself getting booked for tours like Ascension tour with Liquid Stranger, Wonderful Wubs tour with LSDREAM and Shlump and soon to be on LSDREAM’s Peace, Love, and Wubz tour kicking off early next year. On top of all this, he has been hitting the festival circuit hard, with festivals like SMF, Bass Canyon, North Coast, Dancefestopia, Lost Lands, Electric Zoo, and now Freaky Deaky.
INZO’s trajectory keeps expanding and we cannot wait to see what he brings to the The Crypt stage at Freaky Deaky this year. Check out some of our favorite tracks by the rising producer down below.
