GORDO Gives Back With His Third Central American Learning Center, EDIFICIO TARAKA

Over the last few years, GORDO has had a meteoric rise to the top of house music scene. He has dropped infectious hits, such as “TARAKA” and “Rizzla”, in addition to putting his mixing skills on display at some of the most prestigious venues on the planet. Now GORDO is back with a new project, even more incredible than his music. The superstar DJ has partnered with Seeds of Learning to fund his third Central American learning center.

Raised in Guatemala, GORDO witnessed the drastic difference between the privileged and the people in extreme poverty. His “second mother” drove students to private and public schools in Guatemala City. Understanding the importance of education, GORDO has made it his mission to provide it for the less fortunate in his home country and other poverty-stricken areas.

Sharing the motivation centered around his newest school in Nuevo Eden, Guatemala, GORDO announces, “my childhood in Guatemala shaped who I am today and I am honored to give back to the generation of tomorrow in my home country. I dedicate this school to my aunt, my uncle, and my late cousin Catherine who I grew up with in Guatemala.” Given the name EDIFICIO TARAKA, this school is the next phase in GORDO’s campaign that began in 2014.
