Calling all #TranceFamily members: get ready for a an intensive #GroupTherapy session this Friday, March 28th, 2014 in our nation’s own capital. Above & Beyond are the kings of emotional sets: no debates about it. The UK trio came to Echostage in August and a night of pure magic ensued. We have no doubts that this Friday will be another night to remember with pure human connection radiating from the walls. This show, which was one of our must-see events this spring, is sold out and it comes as no surprise.
Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, and Paavo Siljamäki make up the trance trio that formed back in 2000. Since then, the group has grown to massive heights including a ranking at #17 on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs Poll for 2013, hosting a weekly radio show, and owning two labels: Anjunabeats and Anjuandeep, and awards from Beatport, International Dance Music Awards, Mixmag, BBC Radio and more. They are also the only group to ever win Essential Mix of The Year twice (2004 and 2011).
“Some time ago we realized that on the best nights we have it’s always a three way thing: us, the music and the people, and we see improving the communication between all three as helping a good party turn incredible“ Paavo said. “The sound system, lights and visuals are all there to help people connect to the music, with each other and with us, better. A Group Therapy experience, ideally, is positive, uniting and life-affirming for all involved.”
