Imagine Music Festival Artist Spotlight: Space Kadet

We are just three weeks away from making the journey into the ultimate underwater paradise at Imagine Music Festival. For their fifth anniversary, they have totally delivered on an exceptional lineup for their loyal fan base. Ranging from world renowned artists like Armin Van Buuren, Bassnectar, and Kaskade to rising stars like Liquid Stranger, Leah Culver, and Weiss, the weekend is set to be packed with unforgettable performances. Last year’s festival definitely set the bar for what the Imagine and Iris Presents team can achieve and we already know they have made even more upgrades to this year’s experience.

One of the artists set to bring their own brand of groove to the exotic waters of the Amazonia stage this year is Space Kadet. The Atlanta-based quintet emerged into the spectrum of electro funk back in 2017 with their stellar 5 track, Ultra Funkular EP, perking up the ears of listeners looking for something fresh within the genre. They fearlessly jam around with drum and bass beats intertwined with trap and hip-hop influences, deep dub vibes, and some house for good measure. The band says they, “came together to form an always changing, never ending, groovy space odyssey”, and we are beyond excited to take the journey with them. Each track they have produced takes our hearts and minds right to the dance floor with pocket bass, rhythm riding melodies, and soulful guitar rifts.

Space Kadet has started their climb to the top with popping performances at festivals such as the Purple Hatters Ball, Imagine 2017, Sweetwater 420, and Zen Awakening. They have had the opportunity to share the stage and receive support from some of the best in the genre such as The Floozies, Russ Liquid Test, Higher Learning and others. Space Kadet is all about creating that perfect ride of funky tunes while also being a door to a whole other way to hear some electro soul.

We cannot wait for the epic weekend that Imagine Music Festival has in store for us and we will definitely be catching all of the magic Space Kadet has to offer on Saturday.
