After waiting for what felt like an eternity, drumming our fingers on our desks, the Infrasound 2015 Phase Two Lineup has been announced. If you’re a part of the Infrasound Family page you’re familiar with the hype surrounding everything about this fest. We’ve never seen a community so ravenous for a Phase Two Lineup, and the response on the fam page was nothing short of fanatical. We feel the need to address how awesome this fam page is, with nothing but positivity from everyone involved, and a nonstop hype train of posts, memes, and music.
On to the lineup announcement, we feel its the perfect type of Phase Two announcement. With the initial lineup announcement we got haymaker headliners in the form of two Tipper sets (one at sunrise), two Benga sets, and the much anticipated Opiuo Band. The support on Phase One was nothing to turn your nose up at, with incredible talent like Ott, Thriftworks, and Ozric Tentacles gracing the middle section while heavy hitters like Mr. Bill, Badklaat, and Bukez Finezt chilled a bit lower. And thats only to name only a few. We’ve since dug into the bottom section and found quality music ranging all over the electronic music spectrum.
So everything on Phase two was butter on the delicious bagel, the cherry on top of the bass-cream sundae if you will. We see some Russ Liquid (will there be a ThriftLiquid set like we saw at Gem and Jam in February?) YOUNGSTA and The Widdler for more bass and dub, and WRR favorite Vibe Street will be there with his unique grasshop style. And that’s barely scraping the surface of Phase Two.
