2020 has been a tumultuous year to say the least, but UK bass duo Ivy Lab have been dishing out the heat all year long. Their latest release, ‘Blonde’ EP, is no exception to this standard. This third chapter in their three part EP release, preceded by ‘Fidget’ and ‘Teacup’ EPs, is filled with their signature bass heavy and synthy sound.
Comprised of five tracks, this EP never quits. “Husk” starts the EP off strong with that grimey bass sound, and it the delves into more downtempo bass with trap influence for the next couple tracks. It’s rounded out with the title track “Blonde”, which switches up the flow with a more melodic and moving note to wrap things up.
