juuku had an incredible 2021, and 2022 is looking better than ever. He’s officially debuted on Steve Aoki’s label Dim Mak, specifically it’s ‘New Noise’ series, with his single “sunlight.” The single features components that we know and love from the Juuku sound, but embraces a certain passionate energy he brought to the table just for Dim Mak. Heaven-like synths and sounds knock around with clingy percussion to find an energy that’s hard to get out of your head. Many of juuku’s singles are epic and warm, this track is no different, but maintains plenty of original qualities within.
Based in LA, juuku has built up his reputation sonically on melodic and bass sounds, often stitching visual aspects along with it for good measure. It was 2020 where juuku dropped a whopping 22 releases, in 2021 he played his first showed and signed EP’s to the coveted label Moving Castle.
Today BBC Radio 1, Diplo and Friends, bitbird, MrSuicideSheep, Proximity, and TrapNation are all names that have given him attention and all for the right reasons.
