Why Gaga chooses to go after Calvin Harris is beyond me, but the mini-feud is conveniently timed with the release of Calvin Harris’ new album ’18 Months’. Back in 2008 (yes four years ago), Harris turned down an opportunity to produce a remix for Lady Gaga.
In an interview with a BBC morning show he said,
You got to pick people whose songs or voice that you like, and in that stage it was before she was very big. But they sent me some songs and I didn’t really like the songs.
I’m not sure if it took her four years to digest the information or what, but Gaga took to twitter today to say the following.
Seems to be trendy lately to talk shit about “lady gaga” when your albums/singles drop. Y’all should live off your own hustle. #Ido

never even emailed you @calvinharris I guess it’s hard to believe I write + produce my music.cuz I’m a woman I don’t know about EDM right?

The series of events that followed were more predictable than A-Rod at bat.
Harris immediately went on to apologize, Zedd (who’s signed to Interscope with Gaga) insists on hugs and shaving and then before you know it all was right in the world again.
If anything the mini-feud helps increase awareness that having an opinion on something can lead to you being trolled by millions of teenage “monsters”.
