Last Heroes Deliver on Double-Sided Release, ‘No Sleep//Naked Soul’

We are still trying to trying to pick up our jaws off the floor from the premiere of Visions, Seven Lions latest streaming production on his Twitch channel. We opened up the night with our favorite house duo from Ophelia records, Gem & Tauri, before revving into our healthy dose of psy trance from the dynamic Dimibo boys. Next up we raged to Trivecta’s special flavor of bass music (shoutout to that folk bass) before closing out the night with the label head himself.

The magical evening now gets to continue for Ophelia Records with Last Heroes double-sided release, No Sleep//Naked Soul. The Colorado natives formed their project in 2016, with the end goal of creating music that reminds us of our purpose in life. We first got to hear the inner workings of their mission from their debut EP, Moments, on Ophelia Records in 2019. On top of playing alongside Seven Lions and Illenium, Last Heroes has easily amassed a huge fan base and over 20 million streams and landed themselves on notorious playlists like “New Music Friday” on Spotify. Recently, their remix of Illenium’s “Broken Ones” made it onto the Ascend Remix album and back in March captured fans yet again with their single, “Underneath the Waves.”

Getting into the release, we start things off with “No Sleep,” dreamy guitar notes and ethereal vocals carry us away. When we fall into the first drop, we are surrounded by bright synths and can’t help but feel like we are free falling. We got to hear it first from Seven Lions’ set for “Naked Soul” and we were completely blown away. Their take on bringing through emotion and a cinematic experience shines, with swelling melodies and powerful percussive drops creating an incredible audible experience.
