With one of the most anticipated NYE festivals around the corner, Lights All Night in Dallas is ready to hype up the end of 2013. But wait…..you need to prepare for possibly the best nights of your life. Go through your closet, pick out your outfits for each day, reread the rules and regulations, etc. It’s just too much to do when you still have holidays gifts to buy! Let the WRR family help you out on your LAN prep list.
1) Book Your Hotel ASAP and Know Your Transportation
Although most of you are from Dallas, some of you are coming from out-of-town. The real question is this: do you want to drive home right after hours of raging and singing out of tune or do you want to just grab a DART bus back to the hotel? These are a few hotels close to the venue suggested by expedia.com. Book your room ASAP!
As soon as you book your hotel, you need to figure out the easiest way to get to the venue and back in one piece. Traffic is guaranteed to be bad and nobody likes that buzz kill. Thankfully, DART and Uber have struck a deal with LAN to ensure your weekend runs smoothly.
GoPass is your ride to the 2013 Lights All Night! With the GoPass App, you can buy your DART pass right on your phone plus plan trips, get next bus or train times and more! For a fun night, just follow these four easy steps…
- Download the GoPass app off the App Store or the Google Play store.
- Buy your DART pass.
- Ride DART to Convention Center Station.
- Dance your face off.

2) Prohibited Items vs Allowed Items
Each festival has their own rules and regulations that every attendee must follow. LAN is no different from any other festival. Last year, LAN allowed camelbaks, backpacks, and unopened water bottles. The rules this year, however, have changed.
No camelbaks. No unopened plastic water bottles. No refillable bottles. No backpacks. This recent rule change completely angered many attendees. With some good persuasive comments from fans and discussions behind the makers of LAN, they finally came to a compromise.
3) Plan Your Route
Take a good look at the lineup and decide your route. ALWAYS pick out a safe location to return to when you get lost from your friends. Go for anything that sticks out like a large billboard, under a specific exit sign, or next to the restrooms.
We hope this small prep list will help you have a wonderful weekend at Lights All Nights in Dallas! Keep an eye out for our WRR Texas reps, Young Park and Bianca Nguyen!
