I’ve been huge fan of LOVE THY BROTHER since 2011 when I first heard their remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Blue Jeans”. That slow liquid dubstep had me.
And then their remix of Metric’s “Artificial Nocturne” finished the job, and I was in love.
But now the Canadian brothers hailing from Montreal are back with their debut original teaming up with model & vocalist Ariel Beesley with “Love Me Better”. With a deep house beat, hints of nu disco carried by the electric guitar, and elevated by Ariel’s calling vocals, it’s an electro-pop sparkler. The brother’s give some insight into their first original:
“This song marks a big moment for Liam and I, ” says older brother Conor Clarke. “Growing up together has had a such huge influence on our music, so in a sense was literally decades in the making. It’s also our first original and opened up a whole new world of challenges and inspiration, ” adds Liam. “Working with LA based Ariel Beesley and grammy nominated producer Damian Taylor meant hopping around multiple countries, constant flights and strange studios. It’s a whole different game than pumping out remixes but hearing the finished song and knowing the work we put into it feels pretty wicked.”
We can’t wait to see what’s next to come.
