Macklemore’s radio hit “Cant Hold Us” has surely permeated your ear drums by now, as the rising rapper’s songs keep soaring into popularity. Luckily for EDM fans, Major Lazer has released two separate remixes to the single, one with a much heavier trap feel, and the other being an upbeat reggae-rapping anthem.
The original remix of the track shows Major Lazer’s style immensely, combining Macklemore’s quick piano rap into a trap banger. It’s filled with heavy bass and echoing synths that will get an entire dancefloor going wild.
The second remix, the “POWER Soca mix” is still very much a fast and heavy track, but replacing the hard trap drops in the first remix with multiple drum loops and vocals from Swappi and 1st Klase. Both tracks are great in keeping Macklemore’s flare in the original while not overpowering it. Luckily for us, both of these tracks are available for a free download.
