Mosimann’s “The Gifted One” is the latest from French DJ/Producer Mosimann. Starting at 14 years old, the soloist broke a ton of ground between the ages of 14 and 20. Working non-stop at a DJ career, he eventually participated and won first prize on the french show Star Academy, gaining national recognition and expanding his influence tenfold.
Fast forward a few years later, Mosimann has now broke the DJMag Top 100 list, clocking in at #93. From a mainstream/global market perspective, Mosimann is killing it. Yet, he hasn’t forgot his roots, his release “The Gifted One” clearly showcases timeless French-born house elements, featured within, that click with the soul.
“The Gifted One” gradually builds and lets the vocals of Uhre do the talking. It’s not until the drop hits that you get the full mid-tempo/disco feel that Mosiman is showcasing. The drop acts as a perfect next move given the path the song was laying out – very appropriate, making your head feel as if it’s floating on a cloud.
With great new music by his side and tons of experience/connections supporting him going into 2016, Mosimann will be making more of a splash in the scene before you know it.
