What better way to celebrate the first day of spring then with some deep, driving techno? Am I right? Obviously. This week we’ve got three tremendous EPs, delivered by one of our favorite underground, girl boss mavens, and two players at the very top of their game in the genre today. On the lineup, you can expect to hear tons of deep, driving techno, trippy acid licks, multi-layer drums, and hypnotic vocals. Now, sit back and get yourself settled in for a dose of some much needed darkness.
Ramon Tapia – Manipulate EP
When Drumcode king Adam Beyer hears a tune he can’t ignore, neither can we. Belgian DJ and producer Ramon Tapia has been impressing the likes of the biggest names in the genre recently, leading him to release his first solo outing on Truesoul, Manipulate. This two-track EP will become a fast favorite on both dance floors and festival circuits worldwide. The title track embodies the ethos of the label to a tee; a crisp and groovy work that straddles the divide between house and techno. Meanwhile, the second track “Adam and Eve” is booming with high energy, strong vocals, and a big atmosphere that will pull you in its grasp instantaneously.

Anja Schneider – Prosperity EP
Last year, DJ, producer, and creative Anja Schneider made the difficult decision to leave one of the most influential labels in the underground industry, the label she herself founded in 2005, mobilee. But the end of this chapter meant the beginning of a new one – the birth of her new imprint named after Anja’s mother, Sous Music. The Berlin artist has just released her first EP of 2018 on the newly established label, and it’s truly everything we hoped it would be. The two-track Prosperity EP delivers deep, driving techno that is utterly hypnotic, trippy, and the definition of underground music. If this new imprint is anything like Anja herself, it’s going to be a wondrous one.

Boxia – Ethereal Education EP
Rising DJ and producer Boxia has been making hard moves since launching onto the scene in 2015. He’s released on the labels of techno’s leading players like Victor Calderone and Alan Fitzpatrick, all before finding his way onto the almighty Drumcode Records. Dubbed as, “one of the most exciting artists to emerge in techno circles in recent times,” and rightfully so, the UK native makes his astounding label debut with his Ethereal Education EP. Throughout the four-track EP you’ll find deep, transcendental slices of techno, old school wonder, punchy multi-layered drum work, and an overload of gorgeous techno that will cut straight through every inch of your body. This one is solid gold.
