In this week’s edition of “On Tuesdays We Techno, Volume 25,” we’ve got a handful of massive new EPs that will serve up a daunting dose of darkness to the heat of your summer nights.
Our dive down the rabbit hole begins fast and furiously with the riveting 3-track EP Rola from Spanish producer Andres Campo, out on Second State. This leads us into Brazilian-born Wehbba’s beautifully crafted Drumcode release, Catarse, with our favorite being the third track on the EP, “Process.” Bastian Bux sweeps in next with his almighty Somia EP, as he makes his return to his home at Suara. Here, the Barcelona-based producer delivers tons of trippy arps, acid sounds, and electrifying patterns throughout his 5-track head turner. The last leg of our spiral sets off with rising Berlin-based DJ and producer Juliet Fox. She keeps the vibes rolling steadily while making her presence known with the new 2-track Sunday Morning Illision EP, on Australian label Upon Access. Finally, techno’s Grecian God Axel Karakasis drives us to the finish line with his signature propelling patterns in his suitably named Petrified EP on Alleanza.
