Party Thieves is about to embark on a 4 date tour with a stop in between in D.C. for a Mega D.C. show. The tour that is coined as the Max Capacity Tour is set to have four dates, all free, with a packed house at each stop. RaverRafting got the chance to ask Jared McFarlin, the face of the force that is Party Thieves, a few questions about his new tour and the appreciation for his fans.
RR – So you are currently doing a MCT (Max Compacity Tour). What gave you the idea for this kind of tour?
Jared – Honestly, one random day last month I woke up with an urge to meet and just genuinely party with some of my most loyal fans. No tickets, no complicated promoter contracts, just free shows and intimate memories that these fans will be able to share forever. I basically wanted to throw a meet and greet tour to give back to this community. A lot of artists are caught up around money so they would never plan something like this, I’m just caught up around having fun, that’s my problem.
RR – I noticed that you try to include your fans, and really listen to see what they are interested in. Have you noticed any effect this is having on your music?
Jared – Any interaction I have with anyone always has an effect on my music. That’s what is so great about music. Your mood, vibe, how your feeling each day sets a tone. One moment I can be talking to one person and instantly have an idea for a track. I want everyone to be involved in this project as to why I called it Party Thieves and not Party Thief.
RR – You have garnered attention from a significant number of big name artists. What do you think you are bringing to the playing field that no one else has?
Jared – My team and I really just know the total vision of this project. From Day 1 we had a plan and we have been on that path ever since. Party Thieves is more than just music, it’s a company, and we have to continue to think of ways to make it bigger.
RR – Tell me about the experience of selling out the Belasco Theatre in LA, what was going on in your head when you found out it was sold out?
Jared – For the record it was more than just sold out haha they actually over sold and packed the hell out of that theater. Fans just kept lining up around the block and I told the promoters to pack the house but of course make sure everyone was safe. I am very fortunate to be in the position that I am and feel very blessed that we sold out the show.
RR– If you could pick one song you have released that defines your image which one would it be?
Jared – Party Thieves project is moving forward. The best music I have made is unreleased 😉
RR – Is there anyone in your life who has been a constant motivation?
Jared – God
RR – When you were a kid who did you want to be when you grew up?
Jared – Well I went the United States Military Academy and played Football for Army so I guess you could say I wanted to play in the NFL.
RR -Finally, what is the most encouraging thing someone has ever said to you?
Jared – Whatever you do, always give 100% – unless you’re giving blood.
You can catch Jared and the rest of the Party Thieves team in New Orleans, D.C. , Miami, Fresno, and a Secret Show that is yet to be announced over the coming month.
