Wooli & Kompany – The Cave
We’re going to start things off strong with the new collab between heavyweights Wooli & Kompany. This cinematic tune creates a movie in your mind, utilizing creepy sound design to replicate the sounds of some terrifying cave monster. The song never stops surprising the listener by switching sounds and rhythms up, making a tune that never gets boring.
Magna – Spectator
Channeling influences from old school hip hop, Magna’s new track “Spectator” is a one of a kind, powerful track that is sure to put smiles on countless ravers faces this festival season. The acoustic drums of the intro perfectly contrast the massive kicks in the drop, which gels seamlessly with complex basses, gracing the listener with weird and interesting rhythms.
MORTEN – Hypnotized
Get ready to fall into a spell with “Hypnotized”. Morten’s latest track is one that is sure to make its way all around festival sets, as it gets closer to that time of the year. With eerie vocals that almost seem to take you into a trance and three different drops that are packed with bass, this hit is sure to be a huge one!
Dabin – Worries
If you’re not familiar with Dabin, then you’re in for a melodic treat! With soothing vocals and a massive future bass style drop, “Worries” will have you forgetting about it all. This talented producer and vocalist Koda could not have made a better team for this track.
HODJ x GHOST – Capitulation
This song is a tiny bit misleading with its house flavored intro, but fear not, there is plenty of hard hitting bass to be found. The drop starts off somewhat light, focusing mainly on wonky synths playing an uplifting melody, but as things progresses it only get’s weirder and heavier, playing with the tropes of dubstep to create something brand new.
Holly & Luzcid – Forgotten
In their second collab together Holly and Luzcid continue to blend intricate melodies with crunchy and wonky bass like you’ve never heard before. The song’s majestic intro uses sidechain and other effects tastefully, perfectly building up energy for a drop that will surprise you from start to finish.
Tsimba – Goju
Staying true to his reputation for putting out unique and hard hitting tunes, Tsimba returns with a complex banger that will both excite the mind and move the body. The Brooklyn producer’s sound design skills have improved incredibly with this one, which shows off a diverse pallet of basses that all contrast each other in beautiful ways. There’s even an old school drum break for good measure!
Lowlab & VVSV – Fury
Lowlab and VVSV keep things minimal in their new collab, building up with a simple melody that is contrasted by a complex and ever moving drop that has perfectly gelled together its few synth elements. Things progress with the second drop, which stays true to the song’s theme, but strips itself back even more so that you the listener can really focus on getting down with your bad self!
