It’s another Tuesday, which means another week of Powerful Picks. This time around we are loaded with familiar names and upcoming artists. Kick back, crank the speakers, and get ready for our hand-crafted selection – this is Powerful Picks.
Party Thieves – Anarchy EP
Party Thieves has finally released his four-track Anarchy EP and its diversity is exactly what we wanted. With American rapper Sammy Adams helping lay down vocals and Basko and Wells giving a hand on production, I can’t recommend letting the album play from beginning to end enough.
Riot Ten & Sullivan King – Pit Boss (feat. DJ Paul)
I hope you have your neckbraces ready for this one because I bet you can’t get through the whole track without moving your neck once. This insanely brutal track screams Sullivan King with his shredding guitar riffs and heavy percussions. Riot Ten helps tie this into a serious bass anthem that will surely become a staple amongst the most vicious of sets.
Lookas – Lucid EP
With the official release of Lookas’ Lucid EP comes one new track and a revisit to two recent songs as well. “On My Own” is the latest track from the Miami based artist, as he teamed up with Able Heart to deliver one addicting tune. “Alarm” may also be a familiar name with the legendary Krewella sisters tagging in to deliver a breathtaking topline as always. The releases are nothing short of the quality you’d expect from Monstercat!
Fransis Derelle – Pixel Paradise EP
Fransis Derelle is here to bring forth his four-track EP Pixel Paradise, which is always a plus when it’s full of a diverse sound. From some serious heavy trap to vibey future bass, you’ll definitely find a track to grab onto in this album! With a collaborative effort between six artists, this EP is chock-full of talent bursting at every seem.
Growlz – Sauce Boss
Coming at you with another Circus Records release in Powerful Picks this week is Growlz with his title grabbing hit “Sauce Boss”. This dubstep track is one filthy tune, loaded with grimey sound design. You can expect things to get heavy with each drop leaving you to only want one thing, a longer track. So after a full listen through you can definitely award Growlz as the sauce boss for this one!
Thutmose – WuWu (Flapo Remix)
Closing us out this week is Flapo’s take on “WuWu” by Thutmose. This flip introduces some refreshing vibes to the original and turns it into a trap tune that can’t be tamed. Good luck finding a track with kicks that hit harder than this!
