It’s another week and another edition of Powerful Picks is here! We have some brutal bass to help out with yesterdays case of the Monday blues and some remixes to help out as well. Kick back, crank the speakers, and get ready for our hand-crafted selection – this is Powerful Picks.
Seven Lions & Jason Ross – Ocean (feat. Jonathan Mendelsohn)
Leading off this week is Seven Lions with two new releases. Although “Ocean” with Jason Ross is my personal favorite, I recommend checking out “The Sirens” as well. With the new tracks being nothing less than what you’d expect from Seven Lions, get ready to be thrown into an atmospheric world of nostalgia with each drop screaming his signature sound.
SLANDER & WAVEDASH – Move Back
The two bass legends SLANDER and WAVEDASH have teamed up to deliver one insane track that will be nothing short of bass packed and exploding with energy. “Move Back” is here to get crowds rowdy and deliver plenty of sore necks, before transforming into a melodic outro that will hook you in. This dubstep tune is one that will surely make its way into the heaviest of sets everywhere
NGHTMRE & Dillon Francis – Another Dimension (YOOKiE Remix)
If anyone can flip a collab from NGHTMRE and Dillon Francis that is already a banger, it’s YOOKiE. This heavy flip is one that features low saws that will fill out any speaker and most explosive bass lines that will get you moving. It’s a perfect way to showcase how flipping a track into a different genre can introduce an entirely new feeling to a tune.
Shaun Frank – Addicted (Midnight Kids Remix)
The mysterious Midnight Kids are back again and this time with a remix of Shaun Franks hit release “Addicted”. As always, you can find beautifully crafted synths with an analog feel that the duo always seems to capture in each and every release. While the verses will leave you catching the feels, the drop will throw you into a world of melodies and bass lines you didn’t know you needed.
Xie – Drip
Out on Trap Nation now is the girl taking the scene by storm, Xie. Her latest tune “Drip” features an addicting drop with smooth vocal chops that pair perfectly with her production. The smooth R&B style verses will have you hooked in seconds and wanting more before the track even ends.
Juicy M & ATRIP – No Remorse
Closing us out this week is Juicy M and ATRIP with their new collab “No Remorse”. This bass house tune will have you shuffling to the beat as things get bouncing and the rhythms flow. With smooth synth work and an infectious melody, you’ll be addicted to this one before you can even begin to start moving!
